Happy Christmas Holidays 2009 to You!

About Christmas

Christmas is the most wellknown holiday in the world. With Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and more in general: we celebrate Life that God has given to us. We give Christmas presents to our family and friends, because we are thankful for our life and for all the good things that life brings to us.

In Western countries Christmas Day is yearly celebrated on the 25th December. The night before, on Christmas Eve, the Churches organize a special Christmas Night service, ending at midnight with the celebration of Life. After coming home from the Church, it is tradition to have a Christmas Supper with our family.

Symbols of Christmas are the Christmas tree, candles and special decorations; colors of Christmas are red, green and gold. These Christmas symbols are residues from the old pagan celebration of Life, called Yule.

Cards for bichon Iris

Iris loved to receive Holiday Cards, I used to print them out for her and hang them on the wall above her basket at her favorite spot in our home. You can send your homemade Holiday Card to my little Angel Iris by clicking the button below. The nicest Cards I will post on this page, as memories for her.
