Happy Halloween 2009 from Bichon Iris!

About Halloween

Halloween originally is a pagan festivity celebrating the harvest. On Halloween the deceased family members and other beloved ones that passed away, were honored by placing chairs and plates with food for them at the dinner table. Nowadays, Halloween especially is a children's festivity. Children dress up in special halloween clothes and in groups they walk through the streets with lanterns made of pumpkins; and they ring at the doors to ask the people for candies.

The Halloween symbols like witches, black cats, bats and skulls, are residues of the fact that originally the deceased were honored at this festivity.

Cards for bichon Iris

Iris loved to receive Holiday Cards, I used to print them out for her and hang them on the wall above her basket at her favorite spot in our home. You can send your homemade Holiday Card to my little Angel Iris by clicking the button below. The nicest Cards I will post on this page, as memories for her.
